Ten years ago, I started working for a nationwide home security provider designing and installing security systems. I enjoyed listening to the needs of customers and designing a system that meets their needs and makes them feel safe. Three years ago, my family and I purchased our new home in Terryville and I started researching solar for our home. After meeting with several companies and doing my own research, not only did I decide to go solar, but I changed careers to work in the solar industry. Once again, I really enjoyed teaching people about solar and designing systems to meet their needs and save them money on electric bills. I also found that the solar industry has many doorknockers, aggressive, and sometimes uneducated salespeople creating mistrust and turning people off from going solar. What I did not like about both careers was unclear advertisements, being pressured to upsell and having quotas for signed contracts. I left the company I was working for and started SBS Connected Home. I partnered with Brilliant Solar and Safeguard Security and Surveillance because of their reputations and equipment options. I can now take care of my own customers by educating them on the products and letting them tell me what works for them with no high-pressure upselling or sales tactics, but still offer all the benefits of the large company, full service and warranties backed by both Brilliant and Safeguard. I will teach you about the products, make sure you understand all the options and work with you to make sure you get exactly what you need.
